Accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein died Saturday of a suspected suicide—a day after details were unsealed about the sex assault claims against him.
But serious questions remain. The 66-year-old billionaire financier was arrested July 6 for allegedly leading a sex-trafficking ring that victimized underage girls.
He’d been under a suicide watch previously after an attempt at the end of July at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.
Questions are swirling about the circumstances of his death and the role of the correctional facility with the autopsy “pending further information.”
While AG William Barr is “appalled” by Epstein’s death and the breakdown in correctional institution procedure, the FBI investigates, and Trump re-tweets conspiracy theories, the victims are denied their day in court facing down the perpetrator who forever altered the trajectory of their lives.Back To Front Page
