Leading a country ‘means killing people’: Tucker Carlson defends Trump friendship with Kim Jong Un

Fox News host Tucker Carlson sparked controversy on Sunday while defending President Donald Trump’s decision to engage with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, despite international condemnation of Kim as an authoritarian who is guilty of systematic human rights abuses. – USA Today

Every Hitler needs a Goebbels. Frankly, for a long time I thought it would be Sean Hannity but I guess Tucker Carlson just trumped him defending indefensible.  “Moral Majority” is neither.  It’s clear that American Evangelicals who embraced Trump as their new Messiah just put on hold yet another part of that Book they claim they follow to a T.  “Thou shalt not kill” ?  Apparently in the era of the Orange Idol it’s relative.

Fox News own Tucker Carlson was reportedly a guest of the White House on the diplomatic trip to South Korea, along with the president’s daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, both of whom are senior White House advisers. Carlson was reportedly scheduled to interview the president on Sunday for a Fox News special airing Monday night.

“There’s no defending the North Korean regime, it’s the last really Stalinist regime in the world,” Carlson said during the phone interview on Fox News.

“It’s a disgusting place obviously, so there’s no defending it. On the other hand, you know you’ve got to be honest about what it means to lead a country; it means killing people.

‘In the end what matters is what’s good for the United States,’ says Republican pundit  – channeling that specific right wing nationalism masquerading as American patriotism.
